By downloading, accessing, or using the Loot Step mobile application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
Description of Service
Loot Step is a mobile application that rewards users for physical activity by converting daily steps into in-game rewards. The Service allows users to:
- Track daily step counts through Apple Health or Google Health Connect integration
- Earn mystery drops and in-game currency based on step achievements
- Collect, craft, and trade virtual items
- Build and manage virtual collections
- Compete for achievements and badges
Account Registration & Security
Account Creation
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and update your account information to keep it accurate
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental consent to use the Service.
Health Data & Permissions
Health Integration
The Service requires access to your health data to function. By using the Service, you:
- Grant permission to read your step count from Apple Health or Google Health Connect
- Understand that we only access step count data, not other health metrics
- Can revoke this access at any time through your device settings
- Understand that revoking access will prevent step tracking but will not delete your account
Data Accuracy
Step counts are provided by your device's health system. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in step counting or health data.
Virtual Items & Currency
In-Game Items
The Service includes virtual items and currency. You acknowledge that:
- Virtual items have no real-world monetary value
- We do not provide cash refunds for virtual items
- Virtual items cannot be transferred between users
- We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or add virtual items at any time
Rewards System
Mystery drops are earned based on step milestones (every 1,000 steps). The specific items received are randomly generated and cannot be predicted or guaranteed.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to circumvent security measures or exploit bugs
- Use automated scripts or bots to manipulate step counts
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Transmit viruses or malicious code
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Loot Step and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
- Use our trademarks or logos without express written consent
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the Service
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms
- Suspicious activity or fraud
- Abuse of other users or the Service
- Extended period of inactivity
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
Disclaimers & Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
- That defects will be corrected
- The accuracy or reliability of health data
- That the Service will meet your requirements
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOOT STEP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Loot Step is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
